Isang Liham Mula sa Kaibigan

Hello, friend?Hoy friend,

Huwag magpakalunod dito, may 755 pang ibang dahilan.

Hindi siguro ito sinasabi sa iyo palagi ng mga tunay mong kaibigan, pero sometimes the world is not about you.

Harapin ang katotohan at maging matapang because weakness is so mainstream.

Me

EDSA: 26th Year of Ignorance

Morrissey – Suedehead

“I am so sickened to know…”

I stopped what I was doing at work to write this post, which is so very unusual to me. If I let this moment pass, I might forget what I was thinking.

***

Tomorrow is the 26th celebration of the so-called EDSA.

EDSA: 26 Years of IgnoranceUp to now, I really don’t see what changed for 25 years. Maybe I am too young to see what horror the Martial Law did to our country. But with the mythical freedom that everyone assumes, you would barely see that for 26 years, there’s no improvement.

I was often asked what I did for my country. Have I done something to keep ranting?

I am proud to tell everybody who asked that I am an honest taxpayer. These taxes are what the cunning government officials would corrupt. The money that what we are paying came from staying up late at work, being endangered while working, and even going to work while there’s bad hurricane in Manila.

For 26 years, have you felt that this country improved?

EDSA: 26 Years of Ignorance

What this so-called freedom produced are cunning businessmen who have found loopholes with the 1987 Constitution and keep on finding ways how to funnel money out of their consumers. Was out lifestyle like this during Martial Law?

If we check the lists of cities around the country that are improved a lot and have been flourishing, we would notice that these cities are the ones with the ruthless government officials. Take for example Davao City; this city is known for their mayor who does not really care what other people think. This is their town, abide their laws. This goes the same in Marikina and Makati. Filipinos are known to be hard-headed and we need someone who could discipline us.

We may have this freedom of speech since during the Martial Law; men were killed by telling the truth. This is the only good thing that this EDSA celebration gives. Nothing else.

I paid my dues, the government officials elected by my countrymen is not doing their job. If we keep on trying to pull ourselves up, these people are pulling us down. Even our president have not done anything, at all.

The ones who hated the Martial Law are the country’s most corrupt government officials. It was not the people. You cannot say that majority of the people were there in EDSA, that’s merely 2% of the population. Now, there are less-educated children who would not understand their history and would be able to change it.

EDSA: 26 Years of Ignorance

This is what you are celebrating: your children’s ignorance. Very well done.

An Open Letter to the President of the Philippines

Taking Back Sunday – Liar

—-

“…it takes one to know one.”

An open letter to the President of the Philippines:

I am proud that I did not vote you as my president. I picked someone better than you who could have done reforms for the government without blaming other people, nor trampling other people’s business.

An open letter to the President of the Philippines

With 2 years on the position, what have you achieved? You keep on promising a “BETTER FUTURE” to your constituents but where is it? It would take some time for changes to take effect, as what the saying goes; but how long these hungry and homeless people have to wait before they could see these changes?

Do you want to know why I did not vote for you? Mr. Aquino, you were such a big joke. And until now, I still find that you are such a clown.

Have you ever created laws about anything at all? Your cabinet members’ keeps on feeding you information. And what are you doing, dating? Staying up late and playing a gaming console? Looking for a luxury car? If my president only considers himself, then we should know where this country is going.

One of the weirdest thing, you keep on lambasting the so-called corrupt officials but your own cabinet members have their own graft and corruption cases. Like what the elder people says: clean your own backyard first. Oh wait, of course you would not know that. You never cleaned anything in your life, I suppose. And this is the first time you would try to clean in your life by catching the big fishes.

You were supposed to be intelligent, being schooled in the most prestigious schools in the country. But can we eat your achievements? We need actions and long-term goals with the solutions to our countries problems. Where are you?

Why do you keep on talking about Chief Justice’s impeachment case? The Judiciary and the Executive branches of the government are separate and no one, let me repeat, NO ONE should meddle in their affairs. The Senate is already doing its job, so please do yours.

Like what you have done being a congressman and a senator, YOU HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING.

Please, spare us the bullshit and work like what the majority of the people paying you are doing.

Sincerely,

Honest Tax Payer of the Philippines

Thank You, Bronte!

I was watching an early evening news and in the middle of seeing how sad this world is, there was this 7-year old girl who amazed me.

Thank You, Bronte!!

Meet Bronte Henfling, a daughter of wonderful parents who started a project called Toy Drive. What is amazing for this little girl, she realizes how important toys are for kids.

She is in the Philippines just for couple of weeks since her parents are part of Bourne Legacy crew and she already have a huge heart for these Typhoon Sendong victims. What she did is impressive and refreshing – knowing how bad the news are everyday.

Thank you, Bronte!!! Our children would feel how it is to be a kid again. :)

Sublime – 40 Oz of Freedom
—-

Disclaimer: This post is not suppose to ridicule anyone.

Today’s issue of homosexuality is prevalent here in the Philippines. A common misconception is that members if the 3rd sex are now free to be more open about their gender. The media can talk freely about it; however, little did they know, they are still ridiculed.

Gay Pride

Do they deserve this? Did God really say in His Holy Scriptures that it is a crime to be homosexual?

I have a big respect for all the members of the 3rd sex – open gays or lesbians. It is really something coming out of their closet and bravely go out in the world where they would encounter people who could abuse them in all sort of ways: physically, mentally, psychologically, and even spiritually.

Here in the Philippines, it is common to see that homosexuals who were mistreated by their families – especially by their fathers. With this said, it does not stop them to be a good provider. My homosexual friends are always the ones who supports  their families. Either they send their siblings to school or they support their entire clan. They even support their less-fortunate friends.

In our society though, it doesnt matter if you fred the mouths of the millions. What matters is that what most people think. In return, homosexuals are still abused for being one and their good deeds forgotten.

I asked couple of my homosexual friends: what are they thinking whenever someone abuses them?

Their answers were similar, they just let everything pass. They keep doing what they started and moved on with their life. A friend who is in advertising said that he would not get rich if he sulk. Their consolation is their friends and families who accepted whoever they are.

This post is for my homosexual friends: lesbians and gays. You make us proud conquering the world with a different kind of bravery. I guess world peace would start if all people accept everyone regardless of their gender for whatever they are and whatever they are not.

Be out and proud!
